Foodservice Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1lb 8oz Hungry Planet Chicken™ Grilled StripsBuy Now
  • ~3/4 cup BBQ sauce
  • 8 slices sourdough bread
  • 4 tbsp vegan mayonnaise
  • 4 slices vegan pepper jack cheese
  • * Please use whatever products you have in your kitchen; plant-based ingredients are just what we have in ours.

Instructions:

  • Step 1.

    Reheat Hungry Planet Chicken™ Grilled Strips in toaster oven, or hot pan until warm (2 minutes). Toss with BBQ sauce. Set aside.

  • Step 2.

    Spread a thin layer of mayo on both sides of the bread slices. Top a slice of bread with 1 slice of cheese, equally divide the BBQ Hungry Planet Chicken™ Grilled Strips onto the bread with the cheese slice, top with another slice of cheese and a slice of bread.

  • Step 3.

    Place in a pan on medium-low heat. Place a piece of aluminum foil on top of the sandwich and press down using a heavy skillet or pot (the aluminum keeps it clean).

  • Step 4.

    After 2-3 minutes, flip when one side has become golden brown and crispy. Cook 2-3 more minutes then check for crispiness.

  • Step 5.

    When both sides are golden brown, remove from pan, slice in half, and enjoy warm.
