Foodservice Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 8 Sourdough bread slices
  • 1/4 vegan mayonnaise
  • 8 slices vegan cheddar cheese
  • 1lb Hungry Planet Chicken™ Grilled StripsBuy Now
  • 1/4 cup salsa fresca
  • 1/4 cup canned corn
  • 1/2 cup shredded vegan mozzarella cheese
  • * Please use whatever products you have in your kitchen; plant-based ingredients are just what we have in ours.

Instructions:

  • Step 1.

    Spread mayo on the slices of bread only on the sides that will face outside and touch the pan when cooking.

  • Step 2.

    On the inside, layer cheddar, Hungry Planet Chicken™ Grilled Strips, salsa fresca, corn, and mozzarella cheese. Top with other bread slice, with mayo sides facing out. Toast in a pan on medium heat.

  • Step 3.

    Use a cast iron pan or heavy pot to press the sandwich, using foil between sandwich and weight to keep weight clean.

  • Step 4.

    Flip grilled cheese when one side is golden (about 4 minutes on each side). Slice in half and serve warm. Serve with sour cream or guacamole if desired.
