Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ½ cup onion, diced
- 1 tsp garlic, chopped
- 1 lb Hungry Planet Italian Sausage™Buy Now
- 4 flatbreads
- 1 ½ cup plant-based mozzarella cheese, shredded
- ½ cup roasted red peppers
- 12 basil leaves
- 1 cup marinara sauce

Foodservice RecipeHeat 1 tbsp olive oil over medium-high heat and add ½ cup onions. Saute for 2-3 minutes. Add 1 tsp garlic and saute for 1 minute.
Break 1 lb Hungry Planet Italian Sausage™ into smaller pieces and add to onion mixture. Saute for 3-4 minutes. Remove and hold warm.
Place a flatbread in a non-stick pan over medium heat to warm.
Spread vegan mozzarella and roasted peppers over 1/2 of flatbread. Top with sauteed Italian Sausage mixture and basil, and fold other side of flatbread over. Cook for 1-2 minutes and flip over. Cook another 1 minute. Remove and serve with marinara.Repeat with remaining ingredients.
