Heat half of the oil in a cast iron pan over medium-high heat. Add onions and peppers and saute until beginning to caramelize (about 6 minutes). Remove the vegetables from the pan and set aside.
Remove from cast iron pan and spread the chili jam on the Hungry Planet Italian Sausage™.
Cut the hoagie and toast open side down in cast iron pan (30 seconds).
When toasted, top with mayo, onions and peppers, and the chili jam Hungry Planet Italian Sausage™. Serve warm.
