Juneteenth Celebration at Gracie Mansion
Gracie Mansion, New York, New York
New York City Mayor, Eric Adams, hosted a celebratory Juneteenth reception at his official residence, Gracie Mansion. Juneteenth is a federal holiday commemorating the end of slavery on June 19, 1865.
Mayor Adams invited New York City leaders and community members to celebrate Juneteenth with a delicious and fully plant-based menu. Hungry Planet Chief Culinary Officer and Master Chef, Ron DeSantis, joined with Gracie Mansion’s culinary team to craft our versatile plant-based meats into delectable and nutritious appetizers for everyone to enjoy. The menu included:
- Black-Eyed Pea Salad with Hot Sauce Vinaigrette
- Pan-Seared Scallion Crab-Cakes, featuring Hungry Planet Crab™Crab Cakes
- Sweet & Spicy Coleslaw
- Baked Sweet Potato Fries
Hungry Planet is proud to serve our wide range of meats, 100% made from plants, at several Gracie Mansion celebratory receptions. We are honored to work with Mayor Eric Adams and the entire Gracie Mansion team to recognize special guests and deserving communities who gather together in the community to make NYC stronger and better.
