Foodservice Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Onions
  • 2 tsp Olive Oil
  • 12 oz Hungry Planet Beef™
  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 1¼ tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 ¼ tsp Doenjang
  • 2 ½ tsp Ketchup
  • ⅓ cup Vegan Mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp Canola Oil
  • 4 slices Vegan Cheddar Cheese
  • 4 Burger Buns
  • ¼ cup Pickles (Cucumber, Dill or Kosher Dill), sliced thin

Hungry Planet Beef™

Instructions:

  • Step 1.

    Saute onions in the olive oil over medium high heat, stirring frequently until onions are dark, about 15 minutes. Season with kosher salt.

  • Step 2.

    Combine the Hungry Planet Beef™ and caramelized onions. Season with salt and black pepper. Form into 4 oz patties.

  • Step 3.

    Prepare the secret sauce, puree doenjang with half of the ketchup until smooth. Add the remaining ketchup and mayo, then puree until smooth and blended.

  • Step 4.

    Sear patties in hot oil for 2 minutes. Turn over, top with cheese and sear for 2 minutes.

  • Step 5.

    Toast buns and spread with secret sauce. Place pickle slices on bottom. Top with burger, tomato and bun.
