Foodservice Recipe


  • 1 pound Hungry Planet Pork™ Plant-Based GroundBuy Now
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1½ tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tablespoon granulated garlic
  • 2 tablespoons Sweet and Smoky dry rub
  • ¼ teaspoon salt and pepper (each)
  • ⅔ cup barbecue sauce
  • 5 hoagie rolls
  • ½ cup dill pickles, sliced
  • ½ cup onions, sliced
  • * Please use whatever products you have in your kitchen; plant-based ingredients are just what we have in ours.


  • Step 1.

    Prep meat by mixing with extra virgin olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, granulated garlic, sweet & smoky rub, kosher salt, and black pepper

  • Step 2.

    Form into 4 ounce oval patties. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight. Cook the meat using one of the methods on back of pork pack.

  • Step 3.

    After your meat is cooked, brush each side with 1 tablespoon barbecue sauce and allow to sit for 2 minutes.

  • Step 4.

    Lastly, toast the buns and assemble the sandwiches by placing a boneless rib on the bottom bun followed by 4 pickle slices and 6 to 8 onion slices. Top with the other half of the bun and enjoy!
