Foodservice Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 1 pound Hungry Planet Beef™ Plant-Based GroundBuy Now
  • 4 tablespoons onion, diced
  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1½ teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 pint oat milk
  • 2¼ cups vegetable broth
  • 2 cups macaroni noodles, dry
  • 2 cups plant-based cheddar cheese, shredded

Instructions:

  • Step 1.

    Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until lightly smoking and add the Hungry Planet Beef™. Break into smaller pieces and saute for 2 minutes. Add onions and saute for 2 minutes.

  • Step 2.

    Add tomato paste, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, kosher salt, sugar, chili powder, black pepper, and flour. Stir all ingredients to combine.

  • Step 3.

    Stir oat milk and vegetable stock until smooth and bring to a simmer.

  • Step 4.

    Add the dry elbow macaroni, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in shredded vegan cheddar cheese and garnish with parsley.
