Foodservice Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon brown mustard, spicy
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons prepared horseradish, spicy
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon hot sauce
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 12 oz Hungry Planet Beef™ Plant-Based GroundBuy Now
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • ½ teaspoon of pepper
  • 2 tablespoons of canola oil
  • ½ cup barbecue sauce, sweet and smokey
  • 4 buns
  • 4 leaves butter lettuce
  • ½ tomato thinly sliced
  • ½ vegan blue cheese

Instructions:

  • Step 1.

    Preheat a gas or charcoal grill to 375℉.

  • Step 2.

    Prepare White BBQ Sauce: Mix the first 11 ingredients listed together in a small bowl, and set aside while you grill the burgers.

  • Step 3.

    Separate Hungry Planet Beef™ into 4- 3 ounce portions and shape them into patties. Season with salt and pepper, and lightly oil with canola oil. Place patties on the grill and cook for 3 minutes on both sides with the lid closed. After burgers are cooked on both sides, lightly baste with smokey bbq sauce, and cook on each side for about 30 seconds. Remove from the grill and assemble burgers.

  • Step 4.

    To assemble, place one pattie on each bun. Add lettuce, tomato, vegan blue cheese, and add Pour the white bbq sauce on top, followed by the vegan blue cheese, lettuce, and tomato. For an added crunch, add store-bought french fried onions on top.
