Foodservice Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound Hungry Planet Beef™ Plant-Based GroundBuy Now
  • 2 tablespoons safflower oil
  • 1 yellow bell peppers, minced
  • 1 yellow onion, minced
  • 1 zucchini, diced
  • 36 ounce tomato sauce can
  • ¼ cup yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 12 slider burger buns
  • * Please use whatever products you have in your kitchen; plant-based ingredients are just what we have in ours.

Instructions:

  • Step 1.

    Heat 2 tablespoons of safflower oil in a large stock pan. Add Hungry Planet Beef™ and brown. Add in 2 bell peppers, 1 onion, and 1 zucchini, and continue to saute until vegetables are cooked through.

  • Step 2.

    Add remaining ingredients (36-ounce tomato sauce can, ¼ cup yellow mustard, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, ¼ cup brown sugar, 3 tablespoons maple syrup, 1 teaspoon sea salt) and cook over medium-low heat for 30 to 40 minutes.

  • Step 3.

    Scoop beef combination onto slider buns and keep warm or serve hot.
