Foodservice Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 24 ounce Hungry Planet Beef™ Plant-Based GroundBuy Now
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 2 tsp montreal steak seasoning
  • 3 tablespoons canola oil
  • 4 buns
  • Lettuce
  • 1 large tomato, sliced
  • Pickles
  • 4 tablespoons ketchup
  • 4 tablespoons mustard
  • * Please use whatever products you have in your kitchen; plant-based ingredients are just what we have in ours.

Instructions:

  • Step 1.

In a large bowl, combine Hungry Planet Beef™, salt, and steak seasoning. Mix, until well combined. Once mixed, portion into 3 oz balls. To shape beef patties, oil two small pieces of parchment paper. Place meatballs in between two 4 inches by 4-inch pieces of lightly oiled parchment paper. Next, gently, and evenly press down to form a thin patty. Each patty should be about ¼ inch thick and about 3½ inches wide. Once all patties are formed, place patties onto a plate, and place them into the refrigerator for about 10 minutes or until ready to use.

  • Step 2.

Heat a large griddle, with about 1 tablespoon of oil, on medium-high heat. Fry each patty, until golden brown on each side, about 2 minutes per side. Internal temperature should reach 160℉. Top with vegan cheddar cheese.

  • Step 3.

To serve, place 1 piece of lettuce and a tomato slice on bun. Top with 2 patties, pickles, and 1 tablespoon ketchup and mustard on each.
