Foodservice Recipe


  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • ½ cup onion, deiced
  • 1 tbsp garlic, chopped
  • 8 oz Hungry Planet Beef™Buy Now
  • 1 package dry taco seasoning mix “low sodium”
  • ½ cup water
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1 cup vegan pepper jack cheese*
  • Red taco sauce (to taste)
  • * Please use whatever products you have in your kitchen; vegan ingredients are just what we have in ours.


  • Step 1.

    In a medium skillet add the 1 tbsp vegetable oil. Turn heat to medium. Add the ½ cup onion and 1 tbsp chopped garlic. Cook until onions are translucent.

  • Step 2.

    Add 8 oz of Hungry Planet Beef™ and turn heat up to brown the meat, 8-10 minutes.

  • Step 3.

    When beef is done add 1 package dry taco seasoning mix and ½ cup water. Blend well. Simmer on low for 2-3 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.

  • Step 4.

    Build the Taco Burger: Toast the 4 hamburger buns. Portion the Hungry Planet Beef™ taco meat on one side of the bun. Top with pepper jack cheese. Add the taco sauce and the top of the bun.
